What is the PSSUQ?

The Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire (PSSUQ) is a standardised survey used by UX researchers to measure how usable a system feels after people have tested it.

Participants rate 16 statements on a scale from 1 (Strongly Agree) to 7 (Strongly Disagree). A lower score means better usability.

System Usefulness (Q1–6) Was the system easy and efficient to use?
Information Quality (Q7–12) Were on-screen messages and help clear?
Interface Quality (Q13–16) Was the interface pleasant and satisfying?
Download and print the questionnaire above. Give it to participants after a usability session.
Enter each participant's scores in the table — one row per person, one column per question (1–7 only).
You can paste directly from Excel or Google Sheets. Click the first cell, then paste.
Use Add rows / Remove rows to match your sample size.
Hit Calculate. Subscale averages and the overall PSSUQ score appear at the top.
Use Download Results to export your data and scores as an Excel file.

Scores below 3 are generally considered very good. Above 4 warrants further investigation.
